August 22, 200421 yr i need help, i just baught a blueish teelish 2005 subaru baja Turbo and am trying to figure out what rims to get. id prefer 20's, but will keep an open mind. here is the type of car i just baught http://www.subaru.com/servlet/resea...&command=photos and here are some rims i had in mind... http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome and http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome none of these three are set in stone, just examples of wheels i like. if you know of any better ones that would look good on a blueish teelish 2005 subaru baja turbo, let me know and post images please. i get my pel grant funds this week so il have 2500 to spend, though id prefer to stay in the $1,800 and down, range. also... what are some of the good rim/wheel sites out there? as well as car audio?
August 23, 200421 yr I don't think any of those will fit on a Baja. I'd be surprised and a little disgusted if anything larger than 18" would fit.
August 23, 200421 yr offset on those bling bling wheels = wrong and will not fit your car you need to get the right offset and bolt pattern... and IMHO chrome on any subaru is just plain wrong i love the turbo baja wheels.... i'd keep those! Jamie
August 24, 200421 yr Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? How about using your PELL grant for your edyucashun, as it's intended? http://www.ed.gov/prog_info/SFA/StudentGuide/2002-3/pell.html Steve

August 25, 200421 yr Oh, yeah, go for the chrome 20s--just don't get the spinners, those can get fawked up when you go off road, and besides, those are just so last week. And don't worry about the price--the dealer offers financing, so the sky is the limit. Not.
August 26, 200421 yr Author oops, sorry if the links didnt work, here they should work now here is the type of car i just baught http://www.subaru.com/servlet/resea...&command=photos and here are some rims i had in mind... http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome and http://www.streetdreams.org/display...category=Chrome http://www.streetdreams.org/display.php?s=G-G&r=134%20Kobe&fin=Chrome&size=20&vehicle=Car http://www.streetdreams.org/display.php?s=Kaizer&r=Strip&fin=Chrome&size=20&vehicle=Car also... what are some of the good rim/wheel sites out there? as well as car audio?
August 26, 200421 yr Author I don't think any of those will fit on a Baja. I'd be surprised and a little disgusted if anything larger than 18" would fit. you are right,. i went over to my local tire shop the other day and they said 18's would work and 19's would be stretching it, but 20's definately wouldnt fit. so instead of 20's, i'l get the 18 inch versions of the rims on the links i posted
August 26, 200421 yr Author offset on those bling bling wheels = wrong and will not fit your car you need to get the right offset and bolt pattern... and IMHO chrome on any subaru is just plain wrong i love the turbo baja wheels.... i'd keep those! Jamie the baja wheels are too small and generic, i want something at least in the 17 to 19" range. 18s should do. and whats so wrong about chrome on a subaru? chrome = TYTE!
August 26, 200421 yr Author Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? How about using your PELL grant for your edyucashun, as it's intended? http://www.ed.gov/prog_info/SFA/StudentGuide/2002-3/pell.html Steve there is only so much you need for education after tuition fees and books., what should i use the pell grant funds for? i dont mind paying the loans back monthly after i graduate. besides... automibiles and education are not mutually exclusive, you can have your cake and eat it too!
August 26, 200421 yr and whats so wrong about chrome on a subaru? chrome = TYTE! I shuddered when reading that... Chrome automatically makes a car look old to me, straight from the 50's...
August 26, 200421 yr the baja wheels are too small and generic, i want something at least in the 17 to 19" range. 18s should do. and whats so wrong about chrome on a subaru? chrome = TYTE! Is the Baja a manual or automatic?
August 26, 200421 yr there is only so much you need for education after tuition fees and books., what should i use the pell grant funds for? i dont mind paying the loans back monthly after i graduate. besides... automibiles and education are not mutually exclusive, you can have your cake and eat it too! Take some advice from someone that has been there done that, got the t-shirt. You are going to look back at your college years when you are paying your students loans. Over the next 10-20 years and think to yourself, damm I am still paying off that Baja and Wheels and I graduated back in 20xx. Save you money, use the money for school so you will get out of school and not have huge monthly payments. Fancy new cars are way overrated, I hate driving my wife’s new Honda. Way to much pressure to park far away so no door dings and such. In the famous worlds of Tyler Durden “ The things you own, end up owning you”
August 26, 200421 yr I'm guessing that the weight of those rims + tires will end up being more than your stockers. Keep that in mind, your bling is going to cost you in the performance market. Then again, if it was me, I'd go get a Turbo back exhaust for it. Problem solved
August 26, 200421 yr but an old played with cars (and boats, and airplanes) all my life old fart. If you put fancy bling-bling wheels on a Baja you will look like a bloody idiot. The rice boyz will look at you and think "WTF are those pimp wheels on that ugly pick-up for?" The Subaru users will look at you and think "WTF is that fool doing with those big fancy wheels and stupid skinny tires ruining a good off-road, all-weather car?" The car dealer is already looking at you and thinking "SUUuuuuucker!" There's a few SUV's up here in NW Montana riding on pimpmobile wheels/tires. Trust me, everybody looks at them and thinks "What an effing fool!".
August 28, 200421 yr Author what do you guys think about these then? http://www.streetdreams.org/display.php?s=Axis&r=Reverb&fin=Black&size=18&vehicle=Car not to fancy, not to bland. the rice boyz' girlfriends will be like.. whoa he's a hot boy! the subaru owners will be like, that sure looks supafly, and the punk in the jeep cherokee trying to cut me off thinking i have a slow pickup wont be able to finish his sentance as the rims blaze past the fibers of his exsistance on I-90!!
August 28, 200421 yr chrome = TYTE! ...yuck I like the brushed aluminum or gun metal finish (whatever its called.) Chrome looks tacky on most cars.
August 29, 200421 yr Please dont put those pos wheels on your car. If you absolutely have to have something gaudy sell your current wheels to someone, like me
August 29, 200421 yr LOL, I think you've all been had. I can't imagine anyone could write that without the old tongue in the cheek: not to fancy, not to bland. the rice boyz' girlfriends will be like.. whoa he's a hot boy! the subaru owners will be like, that sure looks supafly, and the punk in the jeep cherokee trying to cut me off thinking i have a slow pickup wont be able to finish his sentance as the rims blaze past the fibers of his exsistance on I-90!!
