Limited Slip

Featured Replies

From what donor subaru cars can I swipe a lsd from at the local junkyard? Thanks.

Is the limited slip that much better than the open diff for off-roading?

Just wondering...

Yes.. not as good as welded, but better than open by a long shot

on a scale of 1-10 1 being open and 10 being locked, depending on the driver it could be anywhere from a 2-5, 2 being me driving and 5 being Zap, but for him, i believe he could put a buick on top of Rainier, without getting out to push.

There are only a few car that (unless the orginal unit was replace) will have LSD rear diff, those are RXs and 89 GL-10 Turbos with Fulltime 4WD manual trannies. Those are guarantees, all other 4WD are suspect since it could be purchased as a option.

just FYI, my 86 Turbo Coupe, with non difflock hi/lo/fwd has an LSD, and that whole assembly is going into the back of my FWD XT. Absent the D/R shifter of course ;).
