CHIM
I just bought a 84 turbo/auto that has an all digital insturment cluster, Led's for all guages, temp/oil/amp/tach/speedo and a trip computer. I don't like it! Now i have a spare standard cluster out of an 83GL wagon. Question is if i put the older cluster in the turbo is the wiring going to be the same? Can i just switch them over-plug it in and be done with it? I am still wanting to keep the boost indicator tho, wich i know i will have to put into the standard cluster. Anybody have any info on this idea?

CHIM
Is it a pain in the rump roast to do the swap?, You would think that stuff would interchange. What's involved?, Keeping in mind that auto electric is most definatly not one of my strong points nor favored tasks. If and when i get my dash changed over all that digital **** is going in the garbage can!

CHIM
Ok, I have another one for you. Does the digi dash still use a speedo cable? or is it also a sending unit? If it is a cable will it hook up to the analog speedo? also do i have to modify the analog speedo? same gearing, basically will the speedo be accurate? carfreak85
It does indeed use a speedometer cable.
