whats a turbo unit worth??

Featured Replies

Whats a ball park figure on how much a used turbo unit out of an 88 would be worth?? Any ideas for future reference as to how much it costs to have these units rebuilt or how much it has actually cost someone who has done it??

thanks

Got my last 2 for free

One before that I paid $100 for... but I got the whole car with it and drove it home 35 miles from bremerton to puyallup :)

You're probably going to think this is a smart rump roast answer, but think about it. It really depends whether you are buying or selling. If you are buying, you want to get it as cheap as possible, if you are selling, you want to get the most for it. I can't remember what PAPs around here wants for one, but I think it is less the $25.00. The last person who asked me if I had one, I said I'd give them one. So my advise is to name a price, then stand back and see what happens. If people jump all over it, you guessed to low, if it gets no bites, then it is too high.

I sold two turbos on Ebay - one for an EA82T, the other from a 1st Generation Buick 3.8l turbo. I put them both up at $50 + $25 shipping (heavy suckers), and they both sold using BuyItNow...Just something to think about.
