Last 2004 Oregon RallyX

This was just posted on the ORG message board:

Oregon Region's RallyCross #5 November 14th, 2004

Hillsboro, Oregon

With close battles in most of the classes for first

overall in the season standings and all classes even

tighter for the other podium positions, this the last

event of season should prove to be exciting at the

least!

To top it off the course design has been done by last

season's Oregon Region Open Class RallyCross Champion,

Charles Buren. This forward thinking course design

includes classic corner names like, "Glory" and "Spit"

among others that combine creating the ultimate in

RallyCross fun. The course layout bears a deep

resemblance to classic rally stages that Charles has

rally raced on here in the forests of the great North

West. Charles had this to say about the course design,

"Duuuude." with both thumbs high and "everyone will

hate this part!" when pointing to a particularly

challenging part of the course map. The course should

indeed prove to be a great one.

So come one come all the to the Oregon Region, SCCA

I haven't heard of any sanctioning change for rallyX, but SCCA didn't give the clubrally guys much advance warning.

I'm with Jason, can't afford it. 30 bucks is just too much.

yeah I know about that and I heard talk that Rally America wanted RallyX also and they were talking about it if it was staying with SCCA or not

I plan on being there. But I need to start doing a rain dance. An inch or two that weekend would be most great

An inch or two of rain; I hope you've got oars on that wagon! I would prefer wet also, but I do so much like the dry, fast courses. I will try to remember to bring the carb for you Jason.

It looks like Murphy's Law has bit me in the butt again. The battery in the GL only reads 0.45 VDC so unless I can gather the bones for a new battery or if the charger can get it up by morning..... i'm out this weekend.

I'm gonna come bang on your door... remember I have the battery from the BRAT

Yay, Craig's GL runs again... had a fuel leak, we fixed that. The battery fit perfectly and amazing wasnt dead even though its been sitting out of the brat for months and months and months......

thx

Looks like I'm ready to go now

I won't be making it I just bought a dirt bike yesterday and I need to go to olympia tomorrow maybe...

Slacker

Mmmm nice and slippery out there.

VERY tight course, sometimes full lock steering wasnt enough. Everyone took out their share of cones. I rarely hit cones and racked up at LEAST 5 or more over my runs.

Nice seeing everyone again.

And to the mystery donor... thank you

I guess it was kinda good karma for me letting Craig use my brat battery to run his wagon.

yeah that course was VERY VERY Technical............... a lil toooooo technical for my likes the only rigs that were doing good was basicaly a baja bug cause of the rear e-brake, short wheelbase, Weight, and turning radius
