Any idea which yr/model this soob is? (pic)

This soob was my Father's, which he bought new about the late 70's early 80's (i think more early 80's)

Although I dont remember much about my dad because he passed away when I was 8.

Recently I came across alot of pictures I found of the cars, boats, trucks he owned.

And my mom always said he loved that little yellow subaru and it was one of his favorite cars (she dosnt remember much about it either).

So I figure maby some of you will know which year and model it is.

I just added another with my mom leaning against it, its just the rear of the car. I can remember a while back there where alot more of that car with more detail, unfortunatly cant seem to find them in my attic

I kinda figured it would be difficult to determine what year it was.

 

But I remember from the other pictures ive seen, it was a awesome looking car. I would like to know if there where any ones still out there like this model.

 

If I ever find more pictures within the next few days ill put them up.

I thought that didn't look like a subie for the first pic thats a Renault LeCar! and the second one is of a 80-84 wagon

Actually it isnt a wagon, its a hatchback.

To me it looks like a 85 GL hatchback...?

All my mom remembers is "It was yellow, small, was good in snow, and had a stick"

Go figure no one in my family knows....

The car your mother is leaning against is a EA81 Wagon, between the years 1981-1984.

 

 

You can tell because there is a door seam right infront of the rear wheel arch. A hatchback wouldnt have a door right there.

it is a wagon cause I have a 83 GL wagon sitting just outside right now and it has the same markings and also Slope of the rear hatch cause the hatchbacks had a higher degree slope in the rear and not much of a rear quarterwindow like the wagons and looking at it more looks like a 83 w/o the bumper moldings like my 83 has

The other car could have been a Renault that was marketed by AMC (that's American Motors Corporation, Pacers, Gremlins, Eagles for you youngsters) because it is missing the Renault emblem on the hood. Gary in Cleveland (I've got Subies and AMC's all over the place)
