November 24, 200421 yr This Justy has 26,000 miles on it and the tranny went out on it. Does any one know of a shop who specializes in the Justy.
November 24, 200421 yr Might want to switch to the 4WD 5spd manual tranny (push button single range)? I've seen a few in the junkyards before. Good luck!
November 26, 200421 yr junkyards for a replacement tranny is the only way to go. Parts for these vehicles are EXTREMELY difficult to get.
December 2, 200421 yr Since you said tranny, went " out" I am only assuming you mean it is an automatic. Scarce & hard to find in a junkyard, now, & who nows what condition it is in?? Parts & labor to rebuild an automatic are $$$$$$. Would be a good time to swap out to a 5speed ,but it is a good bit of work. I have an extra 5spd tranny that needs repair but don't think it would be much to fix.[ stuck in reverse.] The 5 spds are selling for $400-500 ,used ,around here.I, also have a good running & driving 1988 5 spd that I will sell the whole car for $650.Engine, tranny, clutch, etc are all fine! Located in Florida.
