EA82 stereo wiring

Featured Replies

Anybody have a wiring diagram for the stereo in an 87 EA82 wagon? I need to know what to hook my CD player up to as far as power and stuff goes. I know I need to re-wire the speakers, since they are Common Ground.

Was just looking through FSM today to find this stuff. Here is the info:

L - Blue

B - Black

Y - Yellow

G - Green

R - Red

W - White

Br - Brown

Lg - Light Green

Gr - Gray

Ignition power source - LY

Ground - B

Positive right front - W

Positve left front - Y

Ground right side - LB

Ground left side - LR

Positive right rear - WL

Positive left rear - YW

Hope this makes sense. Good luck.

Andy, I think you'll be able to get an adapter cable for that car; all the power connections should work and you just need to re-wire the speaker wires.(Magnolia Hi-Fi, Car Toys, Fry's, and such should have it in stock).

I'll pick up the cable you have for the Legacy at the Rallycross. If you're not going, can you get it to Jason or Mike? Thanks.

wow that is an old post :-P I didn't bother buying a connector since I didn't see the need to spend 15 bucks to use 3 wires lol. And I was smart nd I left the old connector in there and just Teed into the wires I needed so that if I ever decide to sell the car, I can just slap a stock stereo back in there (Since I stil have the stock deck!)
