January 10, 200521 yr So i took BOTH my rear axles out and changed out the boost and grease on the DOJ's...after the gravel excursion the boots were toast and they started clicking... So...after 1 hr...the axles were removed, serviced and back in and the car was on the ground. Now the axles are happy again...no more click and its all smooth back there.
January 11, 200521 yr After I learnt to do the one nut way to seperate ball joint from lower control arm, it only took me about an hour to service my front doj whilst in the car. The previous day it took about twice the time cause I thought i had to undo radius rod bolts and sway bar mount. To add insult to injury this was a real noisy joint. A puller is nice to have too. But this is front so...
January 11, 200521 yr well my left rear cv clicks when theres people in the back, or if i turn to the right really hard (body roll teheheh) and yeah, it kinda rumbles a little at speed.. i dont wanna buy a new one, just rebuild it
January 11, 200521 yr make sure you use heaps of grease cause not enough will leave it noisy. What happened my 1st time.
