Power Steering and Header

Featured Replies

What could someone expect if their power steering line was in contact with their header?

I'd expect the header to burn through the rubber (is it a rubber line or metal - I'm assuming this is on your RX) and you can envision the smoke and lack of power steering from there. If it's a metal line then, yeah, like he said, the rubbing thing at some point.

It could also cook your PS fluid, really messing up your rack and/or PS pump.

Awe man! :banghead: I did see smoke where they contacted each other yesterday when I started it. I've been prying and bending trying not to overbend, kink or put a hole in the ps lines. It's gettin' serious now (Flexing Popeye arms). Aight.....thanks!

its a subaru, ditch that powersteering all together! its realy not that bad without it.
