Insead of swaping pullies on the ALT he swapped pullies at the crank? I'm really confused here.... just saw the images and thought I would share BTW when is the USMB BBQ ? The BYB BBQ looked like a blast!
February 4, 200521 yr Was this done to put on an XT6 alternator? Insead of swaping pullies on the ALT he swapped pullies at the crank? Um... it looks like that Needless to say, that's not how I would have done it ... It looks like he is running his alt. off the power steering pump pully look at all the broken bits of belt all over the alternator - baaaaad
February 4, 200521 yr Morgan- I have to assume that this guy's belt life will rival that of the star of the film Supersize Me.
February 4, 200521 yr Author Hah ya I woulda just swaped pullies on the alternator and spaced it out properly =P Although his setup is fully custom!
February 4, 200521 yr What else would you expect from a country that drives on the wrong side of the road? jk Actually, I saw an old Ford where a guy did the exact same thing. Running a v-belt inside out on a serp pulley. Instead of having a 6-rib serb belt, he had like four v-belts set up like it used to be to take advantage of the extra space on the pulleys. I wish I had my camera with me that day. It was mildly amusing.
