February 10, 200521 yr Is it something like "All Wheel Drive Package" to differentiate Subaru systems from other manufacturer's systems?
February 10, 200521 yr If you are seeing it written in an ad or something, chances are the D had a little "Tail" on it which made it look like a P, and then the person in charge of entering it on the website/information packet/ect, ect obviously doesn't know squat about Subarus and thought that it should be AWP. I've also seen AWP used when refering to wheel horsepower on an AWD car.
February 11, 200521 yr When I had my 02 legacy OB it said AWP on my ins. policy. The car was stated: 02 Subaru Outback AWP so I didn't know what that meant so I figured it was "all weather package" maybe indicating that my car had the heated seats and all that crap (which it did). don't know to be honest but....there is my shot in the dark. August 12, 201015 yr AWP stands for All Weather Package. Correct (and welcome to the forum, madcrazynomad). Besides heated front seats already mentioned, the AWP includes de-icers for the windshield wipers and the exterior mirrors are heated to de-fog/de-ice them.
