What the heck have we been waiting for???

Dag nabbit we need to form a club and reserve a day.

Any interest?Any other club racers out there with knowledge to share.Insurance??Track fees??

Personally I'd be happy with an autocross set up but a true road course would be sweet.

We'd likely need it to be a weekday unless Subaru wants to reserve the weekend for us.(laughing my burro off)

**OR Should we just maybe meet up at an autocross event and have fun there?***

I'm really not so crazy about straightlining my motor to toasty bits.

More likely to take over a good autocross locally. They run at a small airport near Roanoke, Va. once a year. Had my 86 Capri to 90+ on the longish straight. Much faster and hairier than your run of the mill autocross. Most of the autocrosses around here are technical, car control sorts of events. Not that that's a bad thing.

Will look into track time requirements at VIR and Summit.

Most of my time is spent on firebreaks and National park access roads in the wee hours of the AM. Bro in law recons with a two way radio. One way in, one way out. The wildlife is another story.

Up here we have Lime Rock for a road course.VIR would be great.I've seen the track in lots,I mean LOTS of pictures posted on the AMASuperbike.com website.Looks like a beautiful place and decent surface.

That airport autocross sounds really great too. You're right, around here it's usually a parking lot with tight turns and no open straights.
