Another reason that I love Subarus: Yesterday, I drove home from college for spring break, 750 miles, in a car that I purchased for less than the fuel cost for the trip:drunk: . Amazingly, due to fantastic road conditions, I beat my previous best time of 13.5 hours and made it in 13!

 

Oh yeah, thanks for the coffee Matt! That was my saviour on this trip, considering that I had like three hours of sleep the night before!

It's great to have old cars working well. Especially when you get the "Wait... you went HOW FAR in a car that's HOW OLD?" response.

hey russ gotta say i luv hearing that response as well, i was telling my father that in a few months im gonna make the 1200 mile trip up to see him in my 85, and then i gotta do another 1200 back. and he was like " are you crazy driving something that old that far" lolsnowman gotta love it when the cheap car turns out so well huh

its like hauling off to another state no more than a few days from putting a motor together into a car that hadnt run in a year. fun!
