thinking of moving to MSP area.. ideas?

Featured Replies

I know there is a bunch of you guys out in the Minneapolis area... and I am thinking of moving out there around the end of summer if I can (late august?) and it will only be for about a year..

anyone know of any subaru related jobs out there that would pay enough? (ive got good things on my resumé due to working at carter)

or other job ideas?

anyone looking for a roommate or know of any cheap apartments?

throw some ideas at me!

Buy some long underwear, and pick up a copy of "How to Speak Minesotan". It has lots of tips like "learn to say 'Ya, sure. You betcha'. And the ever popular "Heckuva deal." Or "How about a little lunch?" Bone up on casserole recipes before you go.

It's not that cold!!! MSP is nothing, try living next to the deepest lake in north america!

I have no advice....nothing you don't already know....dealers, misc repair shops.

Ummm now what did i do now???? lol..:banghead:

like i told ya ...GO FOR IT ......your going to be fine Austin......

i think your doing the right thing...also..............

Spark

I may have room for ya and I'm sure there's room in the polebarn for more Scoobys. Walls are tall enough to build a second floor. lol

All depends on my job here. Looks like they are checking into outsourcing the IT dept now. If that happens I may be forced to sell the place.

Keep in touch Austin

We would be glad to have you Austin. Plenty of places we could take that offroad modded Impreza. Just remember chix dig body damage! :D

Housing in any way shape or form in the metro area is not cheap. Two years ago I paid $770/mo for a 2 bedroom 900 sq ft aparment and that was pretty damn cheap in a crappy neighborhood. Bought a "cheap" townhome for $150,000 @ 6%. So roomates or get out of the 7 county metro area for affordable housing :(

It's 34 (24 with wind chill) and I saw snow flakes walking into work this morning. Could be 75 and sunny the day you come down. With MN weather who knows really; changes so drasticly and quickly.
