What does the RX need next? This:

The question is, are the twin turbos going to be that same size as the current single? If so, you will probably experience a loss of power since there would not be enough energy in the engine to turn the turbos. The usual advantage of going to two turbos is to reduce turbo lag. By using two smaller turbos, you reduce the amount of inertia that needs to be overcome, meaning that the turbos will spin up faster. I don't know of anyone who has successfully twin turboed an EA82. Because of the engine compartment layout, it doesn't lend itself to a twin turbo installation.
