July 6, 200520 yr Nothing gets blood out! Kidding... it's not blood. That's just how red some of the soil is up north here in the Iron Range. Add a little rain from the week before and you quicky get a bright muddy pallete of oranges, reds, and browns. Fun stuff to dye shirts with! Although I'd really rather not dye the whole engine bay. I'm getting really sick of mud. I thought I liked "mudding" untill I did it a few times while out trail riding. I would much rather ride trails high and dry in the dirt and rocks than get in the damn mud! What a mess and half the time you get stuck! Makes repairs so much more difficult also.
July 6, 200520 yr Have you tryed some heavy duty degreaser? thats what we use at work to wash engine bays after a service and i works wounders on the red dirt we get some times from out west. Try that if id dosn't work i dont know what will

I drop in thinking... bah it can be that deep; it's hardly two Subaru lengths long and I have plenty of momentum. *SPLAT* This is how deep it was. So I marked a line to remind myself Just when, where, and how screwed I was in the mud! Did I mention I don't like mud anymore?

July 6, 200520 yr Get some Gunk Engine Degresser/Detailer in the silver bottle with orange top and buy or rent yourself a pressure washer. Good Luck!
July 6, 200520 yr looks like when semi's hit deer lol, is it just mud or is is stuck on there good, try powerwashing, my engine bay was caked and i just hosed it off.
