August 24, 200520 yr hey all knowing subie population looking for the load rate of the front coils on 4wd ea81's i may have found an alternative thanks
August 24, 200520 yr can you figure out co-efficients?http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=7685&sort=1&cat=500&page=1
August 24, 200520 yr Author nice yours is in color the one i saw at the subie dealer here in albuquerque was black and white and no i don't know how to read the coefficent but if anybody does please help me:)
August 24, 200520 yr can you figure out co-efficients?... Co-efficients? Looks to me like standard spring rate for non-progressive coil spring. Should just need to look at the "lbs/in" figure and compare to the lbs/in rating of other springs. Am I missing something? (again )
August 24, 200520 yr you really won't want them if they are stiffer. I've got the stiffer RX front springs on my ea81 struts (to hold the added weight of my bumper/winch) and they force the axle to ride at max extension basically. down travel is decreased and up travel is considerable stiffer. expect to lose axles regularly.
August 28, 200520 yr i also have the rx springs on my ea-81 struts,.but they are coupled with coupe struts and afford a little less stress on the axles.these are kyb struts, not stock extended struts.

August 29, 200520 yr what sort of car are the other springs from? someone somewhere will have the stats for them. they might be nice for people who put in larger engines and/or larger custom front bumpers.
September 1, 200520 yr Author thanks for all the feedback guys sorry i haven't responded i had to reload my os. the springs are from spicer and unfortunately there is no application chart with it
