How can you tell if an ea 81 longblock motor was a turbo or not if everything is stripped off it? Did any of the carbed engines come with turbo?

No none of the Turbo car's were carbed. If it was turbo it was MPFI.

The EA81T pistons are cupped or dished for lower compression. Also, the fuel injectors are in the heads above each sparkplug.

There is also a tapped blind hole on the top of the block where the knock sensor goes on the turbo motor.

The injector bosses and dual intake ports should give it away.

Only single intake port on the ea81t.
