Bobby_boucher
for some reason i had a 18 lbs cap on and i have no idea why?!?!?! i'm going to have to switch over and hope nothings wrong:-\
edrach
You should be okay; if the pressure had gone up that high it would have probably split a hose or something. I once had a stuck cap on a Ford wagon and it blew the side out of the radiator when the cap didn't release. for some reason i had a 18 lbs cap on and i have no idea why?!?!?! i'm going to have to switch over and hope nothings wrong:-\
KStretch55
Yep, should be 13psi and the rubber gaskets should have no (zero) cracks and splits in them. If they do, it can't build sufficient pressure to raise the boiling point of the coolant.
