will VIN tell you if you have a O2 sensor?

Featured Replies

Can't you just look on the Y-pipe?

According to my 86 FSM, the VIN doesn't tell you if it's a CA or 49-state model, which would be the indicator of having an oxygen sensor or not, assuming that your car is carbureted.

Pretty sure a knowledgable parts rep at a dealership could use your VIN to fingure out if you had a feed back carb, nonfeedback carb, or EFI.

Then again you could figure it all out yourself too :)

Just look at the y pipe, it will be very obvious to see.
