95 Legacy AWD 168K??

Featured Replies

I have located a 95 Legacy with 168Kon it. $2400. It looks like it has 50K on it!! It runs like it has 50K on it. All original except timing belt, h20 pump and seals. I'm looking at it for a friend. What do you think will fail first, and when? I have never had a newer generation up that high in ,mileage.

AWD, automatic, L wagon, 168K, 2.2, antilock brakes

I have a 97 with 167k. The next timing belt change you may need to do the oil pump. Or, at least the seals.

Some say that the auto trannies aren't that reliable, but, I've done nothing to mine but drive it hard, and it still works great.

The only thing that I can forsee replacing in the near future is the struts. Not that they are bad or unsafe, just a little soggy...

Just put about 1500 into the wife's car - 160k on it. Timing belt, oil pump, water pump, alternator, brakes. It's good for another 160k. Look at the brakes for pulsation = warped rotors. Generally good cars, though. By now most American made would have given up the ghost.
