I finished up editing the teaser for my suby movie. I need a place to put it on the web where people can download it(right click"save as"). So people don't have to find it on the web to view it. Any suggestions?

What format is it? I bet you could shrink it down with the proper codecs.

You might look into converting it to divx, as I'm guessing it just a raw avi right now. Also 7-Zip is much more efficient at compressing files.

 

If I had a different way to get the file from you(too big to email) I'd convert it for you.

You could turn it into a torrent file and then random USMB'rs could Seed it.

I'll convert it to a higher compression format before I upload it.

OUCH! Mpeg that sucker. I have plenty of bandwidth if anyone ever needs hosted. I own a webhosting company and I will share with USMB users.

yeah, at least try compressing it with windows movie maker, which is free. I got reasonable sizes that were watchable with it using 720x640 and 1.5Mbps (~10mb/min). Otherwise you could try virtualdubmod or quicktime or something. I'm kind of new to video editing.
