October 1, 200322 yr Ok, so the(older 4 bolt) subs use a 4x140 bolt pattern, same as many ATV's, right? so how about a set of these for your soobie? Especially gen1 sub's where good 13' tires are non existant: http://www.litefootatv.com/index.htm I so want a set of these. What do you all think?
October 1, 200322 yr Author Have submitted a price request. normal truck sets run around $20k !!! Hopefully the ATV applications are a little more reasonable.
October 1, 200322 yr Sooo. Uhh. what would be more reasonable? $10k? hmm I have about $600 invested in my soob.. I personally think that $100 would be reasonable.. doubt they'll give me a set of trax for that much.. guess I will have to stick with my pugs:rolleyes:
October 1, 200322 yr Yeah, lets see... even if they quoted you $3000 as a "reasonable" price, i could spend $3000 on some tracks and go anywhere, or spend $500 on a set of pugs and real off-road tires... and go anywhere. I see no need for tracks, other than they look cool. -Brian
October 1, 200322 yr I posted about this a while back, and I have come to the conclusion that the only reason you would want to put these on a soob is to go in the snow, and I mean DEEP snow. In the next few years I'm hoping to do this so that I can take a subaru where previously only snowmobiles could go.
October 1, 200322 yr Author Just 'cause I want them, doesn't mean I can afford them. I'm just picturing my 78 wagon with these things on, and oooh, chills.
October 1, 200322 yr Here you go... some home-built ones. It can be done! http://www.kyrias.com/deepmud/trax.html
October 1, 200322 yr Few more spots to see deepmuds tracks... http://www.alaskaoffroad.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e6587902426ffff;act=ST;f=3;t=25 http://www.alaskaoffroad.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e6587902426ffff;act=ST;f=3;t=30 http://www.alaskaoffroad.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e6587902426ffff;act=ST;f=3;t=17 AND somewhere is a video clip of him testing them out... pretty cool.
October 13, 200322 yr that is sick... ooohh arhhh .... are they brake controlled for steering(like bulldozer) or a really massive power steering unit?
