I learned on Autoline Detroit the other day that GM has arranged for Fuji Heavy to build the new SAAB 2 series car. I think it will be an Impreza with SAAB sheet metal. Anybody else have info on this?

Its sort of an impreza... basically its a small saab with an impreza drivetrain.. 2.0t AWD should be a nice addition to the saab line.. I have a cople of concept pics around here somewhere.I will try to find them

last i heard they may be leaning against this plan, good for saab and better for Subaru, besides who wants to buy a Sabaru, think of the parts cross refrence issues when we want to off road them in 20 years.

I read a little tidbit about just that, in Car and Driver.

 

What I'm afraid of is seeing Subaru named in the "GM Family of Cars"..Barf-O-Rama!!

GM owns 20% of FHI(subaru car division).. Saab suffered for a few years after it was.. uhhh.. assimilated, but it seems to be doing ok now
