October 2, 200322 yr I hate to ask but, does anyone have an engine hoist that I can borrow? I need to get my EA82T up on the stand so I can attempt to screw it up. If anyone also feels like helping me work on it (Timing belts, oil pump, I think I got cam seals, and installation etc..) I would REALLY appreciate it and would pay (Not sure how much cause I don't have a job) but anyway, let me know. THANKS, Boz
October 2, 200322 yr Myself and my brother pulled my ea81 out of my brat, there not that heavy. I ve heard of someone on this board who pulled an engine with a 4x4 and some chain. Sorry I don't have a hoist to loan yea.
October 2, 200322 yr Author Well, Not sure when. I want to do this as soon as I can because it's getting cold quite quickly. This seems to be a bit more heavy than an EA81 plus I don't know anyone. I'd like to be able to do all or at least some of this in one day. I don't have a tree or anything nearby to use like a pulley. I want to put it on a stand to work on it, and I'd hate to have 2 or 3 people show up just to basically help put it on the stand then wait around etc...I am a pretty boring person to be around. I don't know. I just want to get it done!
October 3, 200322 yr I'll come down and help if I can. Let me know when it is going to happen. This weekend is all tied up for me, but between then and the PB meet may work...
October 3, 200322 yr Author I will have to pick a day then. I imagine I could rent one somewhere. I appreciate the help. I will let you know Be forewarned, I am boring as hell, I bore myself......
