December 25, 200520 yr recently i bought an oil pressure guage from napa, and have made it so far as to installing the pressure line on the oil pump. the only question is, where do i plug the line into? the guage came with a few brass adaptors for different ports, none of which look like they go anywhere. do i take the sender off and run the line thru there? i'm racking my brain. also, searching the forum yielded nothing. thanks for any tips you guys may have. merry christmas too. by the way, ea81.
December 25, 200520 yr I remember someone saying there is a plug with an allen key (hexagonal) in it on the oil pump near the other sender. So this means you can keep the idiot light sender in there and also have your mrchanical guage sender. Btw how much did you pay for your guage?
December 26, 200520 yr I have had one of those napa cheapo's. It worked well, but was off by a few pounds, nothing major. You'll need metric adapters. Napa sells them in the catolog, or you can try autozone. Both are kits with more than what you'll need.
December 26, 200520 yr for both ea81 and ea82, remove the 8mm square head plug the thread is 1/8-28 BSPT BRITISH STANDARD, not metric 1/8-27 is NPT NATIONAL, it will work for a while to put the 27 in the 28
December 26, 200520 yr Author thanks people, i'll take a gander at it in the morning, unless the rain doesn't stop.
