justy rs?

Featured Replies

i saw a white 4x4 just today, and it said rs. does that mean realy slow, or is it just a factory looking sticker? those are sidewinders right?

I've seen a justy RS before, not sure what the difference is between it and a GL justy.

It was a trim level available on the 88 and 89 (first gen) Justy. It was still a carbed 1.2l, but it was also 4wd.

YES THE RS IS A 'TIRM' OPTION. BUT THE FIRST GEN IS ONLY 87 AND 88. I HAVE AN 89 RS. MINE HAS THE CARB 1.2 5 SPD A/C AND A FACTORY TAPE PLAYER MOUNTED SEPARTELY FROM THE RADIO (DOWN INFRONT OF THE STICK SHIFT). I ALSO HAVE A 90 MPFI WITH AN ECVT FOR A PARTS CAR. I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING THE MPFI OVER ONTO THE 89. ANYONE DONE THIS IN A JUSTY? EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT INCLUDING THE A/C SO I DON'T WANT TO COBBLE ANYTHING.

The Justy RS also had slight different body trim than the base model Justy for a "sportier" look.

For example, this is from the ultimatesubaru.org brochure pages for 1989:

http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/1989-k.jpg

The white Justy is an RS, the red Justy is a DL. Note the body color bumpers, body color grill, "RX" style side moulding, mud guards, etc. on the RS.
