Why it sucks to own a subaru.

So I took my 2005 Outback to going snowboard on Monday in the Sierra Nevada. There are a trail of cars going into the parking lot. So I'm going along and there is this parking attendant who waves some cars to pass him and others to park to his left. He waves me over to the left. I park and notice there are 3 Subies on my left and 2 Subies on my right. Hmmm. I get out and it 3 inches of slush. Dammit, he put us there cause he knew the subies could get out! So if I own a crappy car I would have got to change on drier land. I didn't think it would be that bad to get out but I did some spinning when I reversed out of there. Anyway, I love my subie in the snow, it was great not having to put chains on. I wish I had a camera because on the way back I saw a forrester with chains on!

Why listen to some flunky parking lot attendant? You own a subaru; go wherever you want.

Haha, that's funny.

We don't get slush in the ski lots here till March or so usually. Some really nice powder up there (slopes, and all over the roads) this weekend though.

Where did you go that conditions were thus at the parking lot? I thought that the Sierras were getting hammered, with snow.

Sure, but we got hammered with lots-o-rain just before the snow dumped:(.
