DRL: headlights work right, parking lights won't go off

Featured Replies

Hi,

My first post and it's an electrical problem. When I turn my 2000 Outback Legacy Wagon off, the headlights turn off, but the parking lights stay on. Everything else works OK.

I currently pull the Parking Light fuse each night to avoid running the battery down. Is it the DRL module, or is there another module that might control this?

Thank you.

Bapu

you probably inadvertently bumped the small rocker switch

on the top of the steering column

it is for turning on the parking lights with the key off

you by far are not the first to do this

Welcome to the world of Subarus! You aren't officially a member until you do this. It's a very common thing. Just Flip the little switch on top of the steering column.

Welcome,

Keith

Welcome, from another ex-virgin. You are not alone.

You know, there is a button on the steering column, and when I push it the parking lights go off. My humble pie is not so sweet, but the money I saved not buying a DRL module doesn't taste so bad.

Thank you all.

Om Shanti

Damm I was going to sell you a slightly used DRL module for half the dealer price ;)
