October 10, 200322 yr Check it out. I guess my concern about the roll bars preventing a cap from being fitted was unfounded. http://www.4are.com/product/baja/ Now that it seems to have this versatility, I might consider a Baja for my next vehicle. For those too lazy to click, here's the photo:
October 10, 200322 yr I think it adds a nice touch to the Baja... Kinda takes your attention away from all the Tupperware around the bottom.
October 11, 200322 yr The cap does look nice, but that damn plastic on the bottom of the body is still just too much! If they would have done it the same as the Outbacks, it would look much better.
October 11, 200322 yr oo, you can make your Baja into a *drumroll* Outback, with an integrated dog guard!
October 11, 200322 yr Yeah, we looked into the ARE cap after the Duck's Unlimited show in Memphis this year, last year, whenever. The caps are really nice and in keeping with Subaru quality. We checked out the price with several dealers in several locations between Jackson & Memphis and decided to stay with our tonneau cover: $1300 to $1600 installed!! That was a little rich for our blood. The word is that Subaru saw these things at a show and bought the two first prototypes and really liked 'em. I do not know why they bought the prototypes unless they were considering building some of their own. Contracting a vendor would make more sense and ARE would be a likely source.
October 13, 200322 yr I saw one on the road today...It definately sets it apart from other Bajas out there. I give it a thumbs up. It looked pretty nice/different. Yay to quirky styling!!
October 13, 200322 yr Wow, I didn't figure they would make a small cap for the Baja. Still, it does improve upon it's looks. My sis wants a Baja BADLY, but alas, just because you are a NEW driver, does NOT mean you get a NEW car :boohoo: Peace, out ScoobySchmitty:banana:
