shortlid
OK my previous '98 Legcay L wagon had some what spongy brakes but my aunts '01 is BAD! If you push the petal as hard as you can at 45 mph it just gets spongy will not lok the wheels or engage ABS?? If you Press the petal hard and fast at 25 mph you can get the ABS to kick in but VERY little locking even on sandy roads!!! Is this a brake problem or how the '01 Roo's are?? My Mom's '03 GT sedan can lock nicely and modulate ABS with 1/3 petal travel!
Legacy777
There's probably water in the brake fluid or air, and as temps get higher with higher speeds, the issue gets worse. Flush the brake fluid and see how it works.

idosubaru
flush the fluid and go from there. if the this wasn't an issue before the brake job, i'd wonder what they did wrong.

Sounds like the shop may have had a few extra parts left over, check your warrenty and go back and get it right or a refund, if you did it your self ,buy a Haynes manual for it and recheck all the work. Be safe not dead. Don
