  1. Don't know on legacy, my first clutch lasted 203,500 miles and the subi rep sent it back to subaru:grin:
  2. Hi all, I would like to buy a Baja (found out yesterday 2006 last year for Baja) The one I would like to get is 2005 manual turbo. does any one have one, like it hate it,the good vs the bad etc. All I can find out about is photos and not much more. also they do not have many for sale in Fla. Any help would be great. Many Thanks in Advance Don
  3. I was told that the eye was for off roading on the 4x4 models and passing on the front wheel models. As for off road it fills in those dark areas just in front of the car so you can see what your about to hit:banana:
  4. I added power windows and mirrors to my brat and I used wiring, center console(disabled two switches) and door panels from same year 3 door. DO NOT forget window relays under the seats
  5. I got mine thru advance auto parts (lakeland ,fla is home) for about 50. bucks
  6. Mines only a outback and is still worth about 7000.00 if you go by kelly blue book (http://www.kbb.com),so I think it's worth it
  7. If you want to do it on the cheap, mount a single fog lamp on the left rear under the bumper and use that red tinted paint(for fixing tail lights) to color it:burnout:
  8. Same goes for Mastro Subaru in Tampa, Fl The service reps(the owners) go to the mechanics school as to better help the customers Most of the people that I met 18 years ago are still there. And after my best efforts to ask them to stop, they still call me sir! Great people.
  9. Hi Don, I agree with the other guys on venting and muffler mods,I do not think an oil cooler will work unless you canput some air around it. You might be able to add a motorcycle radiator as a pre-cooler to the front of the trike in addition to what you have. Also a clear photo of the rear of trike with the body on might help us help you Don
  10. In my neck of Florida a lot of the junk yards cut'em and ship'em over seas or South america for more cash:banana: Go figure:lol:
  11. On my BRAT the green plug and the blue plug in that area are to reset the EGR valve timer. If green and green are connected and the dash light is on switch to the blue one(about every 50,000 miles) It's just a reminder light to check the EGR.
  12. With all the posts I've read I a little confused on what car I should strip the old brake parts. If I am right to convert my 86 BRAT to rear disc I should look for a 85-87 XT turbo 4wd right guys? Thanks for the help in advance Don
  13. flat stock might flex to much, try square tube instead. if you don't want the light coming thru the fun tops put a flat sheet about 4" or 6" inches long under the light facing fwd (a shade if you will).
  14. http://www.books4cars.com/3way.htm Haynes manuals over 300 differant ones just for Subarus 13.95-20.00 once
  15. pb blaster for me on nuts and bolts, but if you want to stop rust on sheet metal use osfo. (short for osfuric acid)
  16. I saw a drop top in the scrap yard about six years ago. It was a custom job on a 86-87 three door, and it was sweet, wrecked but sweet
  17. If the vacuum lines are dry or cracked, replace them they cause all kinds of headaches.
  18. The center light is for off road use to fill in that dark space between the head lampswhen the high beams are on. The wiring diagram is good but radio shack no longer sells the ten amp switch.just a differant 3 amp dpdt.
  19. Just about all the subarus are the same from the back of the front seats forward(not justy) same model year. If your search goes like mine, you will find many. Grab the first one that's in good shape. Change the color later.
  20. I like the haynes manual the best (they do a tear down on your car) about $15.00 dollars U.S.
