October 15, 200322 yr Hey man, thanks for offering to help. How's it coming? Basically plug all the vacuum lines except for the most needed ones, just get it running. Then tomorrow night if it is running, drive out to my house and plan to be there about 8:30. I'll pay you for anything you may have racked up in the process and I'll drive you back home. in the morning I might go grab the XT seats and the wheels with good tires and the cool hubcaps. ($100 total, seats good, tires half tread) Hell, I might have a big enough check that I might just try to buy the WHOLE XT! He only wants $350 +/- $50 (only missing engine and exhaust) Later dude
October 15, 200322 yr Jon,haven't had a chance to mess with it, you should try to get that XT for like $400 with motor, $100 tops without the motor. The motor needs work but that car would be a bad rump roast mofo, being 2WD Turbo :-)
October 16, 200322 yr Author dude, he said "a couple hundred" meaning $300, if I ask nicely. I asked for how much on "the seats and four wheels + tires" and he said $60 for the wheels+tires and $40 for the seats. I doubt he's going to sell the car for $100.
October 17, 200322 yr Last time I check, a couple meant two, not three, so if someone said a couple of hundred, that would mean two hundred to me.
October 17, 200322 yr Yeah man - get it as cheap as you can - maybe offer him payments like you were saying. Let him keep the car till you have payed for it completely. Oh - and have $100 cash to sweeten the deal for him - $100 cash, you keep the car, and I'll pay you the rest within the month. He won't be able to say no.... GD
October 17, 200322 yr Can't be too nice to the guy, he did crush a 69 1/2 ff-1 that needed some front end bushings, ran just fine :madder: :madder: :madder: :madder: :madder: $*&$*@hole crushed it the day before I came out with $100 bucks for him for the car.
