oe bush bar?

Featured Replies

here's the deal, at my local junk yard i found a gl (don't know what year four sealed beam headlights though) in any case it has a bush bar on it, it says subaru on it along with another "brand" name don't remember what thought.

two questions...first what this actually oe? and second will this bush bar from an earlier car fit my 87 gl?

Subaru (here in states) sold lots of push bars, brush guards, even winches and such.

No - won't fit your 87. Sorry. Could maybe do some welding and modify it tho.

damn it, its the only one in the yard with the bar...its a little sloppy but with a little paint thought it mighta worked, oh well i will just have to keep trying

Yeah, Jackman made a bunch of stuff for old subarus, wheels, lifts, brushguards, etc.

I think it should, but don't take my word for it. Better ask one of the ea81 guys. Also, bear in mind that it isn't but so hard to modify most any brush guard to fit just about anything. NYC taxis have them as do most delivery minvans in New York. I sold Bushbrat the guard off of my grand cherokee (it was a westin model that I paid $100 for at pep boys). He made it fit his 84 wagon.

will it fit a 86 brat ????????/ i need one

Generally speaking, yes. Might have to bend or modify a few things to make it work if it's on an '82 as the bumper mount style bar would be different by a little I think.
