March 29, 200620 yr I got the Soobie done on Sunday. Changed the front and rear main seals, the cam shaft seals, the pan gasket, and the valve cover gaskets. Put the engine back in, hooked everything up, and it started right up. Milage fell through the floor, and it backfired between every shift. I checked the timing, and it was off, the passanger side was aff 2 teeth, and the driver side was off 1 tooth. I fixed that and it seems to have fixed it. I will watch the milage to make sure. I was proud of myself for getting it right the first time, now it is the second time.
March 30, 200620 yr congrats and hardy pat on the back. .. try doing all that with a 2006 car...not.. I am looking at doing the same thing shortly... will be my first time so glad too hear positive posts like yours!
March 30, 200620 yr congrats and hardy pat on the back. .. try doing all that with a 2006 car...not.. Not as hard as you think - I've done timing belts and what not on stuff as new as 2004 - Audi's mostly, but some toyota's and Nissan's, etc. It's really about the same - in some ways easier.. GD
