April 18, 200619 yr Hey, I shut off 88 wagon, running lights won't go off. I sprayed silicone spray in key area...turn on and off... no diff. Can't shut running lights off... any ideas? Yea.. the switch got me... My son drives the car... he just lets me know when something isn't working or acting up... its this agreement we have. As long as it runs it's "His"... once it doesn't it's "Your car's broke, Dad." ... I think the kids now days call this as "OWNED"... his day will come... oh yes.... he will need something and I will just pour on the salt... Bruhahahahahahahhahh

I am the other Noob that asked the exact question 6 hours before this one. I am so glad I wasn't the 2nd one. I was really perplexed and even ran around town all day, popping my hood open at every store and disconnecting the battery. I had no clue that switch even existed. Welcome to the club Rollie
April 18, 200619 yr My first Soob had a short in that switch that would turn all those lights OFF, no matter the position of the switch on the stalk. Now THAT was a fun one to track down. I jokingly called it my "run from the cops" mode... headlights but no markers or tails.
April 18, 200619 yr THe funny thing isevery time I have used the parking lights in say a parking lot so people dont hit your car at night. I get the customer sevice over the intercom saying there is a subaru in the parking lot with its lights on makes you feel kind of stupid.
