so my subaru,

 

I have no clue why the engine rumbles/vibrates/shudders the way it does. It's almost as if the compresstion wasn't as it should be. but the compression is fine. motor mounts are new. that's my only issue with this thing, if anyone has any ideas i'd really appreciate it. if not....who wants it?

is the self adjusting carb on there or did you put a manual adjusting one, i had the same problem, it was like it wouldnt tune right so i put a manual adjusting carb and its better now.

does it only do this when in gear or all the time?

I vote for vacuum leak.
