What for? If you can't hear the engine tell you when it's time to shift, you have a tachometer to look at. Maybe for some racing applications, but it seems like a lot of money to tell you something good drivers know instinctively.

I agree.I usually go by feel of the engine for when I shift, and occasionally go by the tach.

i agree with jerry

unless you like being blinded when ever you need to shift

Seems to me it's a great solution for nothing?

I'll file this in the "I don't get it department".

Oh ya it seems kinda ugly too!

Little too "ricey" for me, Never seen an aftermarket tach that I liked.

Well ive seen one nice tach but anyways - do you really need a light to tell you when to shift? I saw an automatic civic yesterday with a massive tach and shift light, how stupid can you be....

Always think about how far the same amount of gas could take you.

I can see how they might be usefull if you had a car that was just really uber powerfull or something and got to redline so quick that you needed the light, and you were kinda slow:-p

Kinda pointless on an old soob though I think...

Could be pimp to have one if thats what you're going for?
