i got a couple of questions

 

 

1) what should i use to fill and smooth a hole in my front bumper? epoxy?bondo? fiberglass resin? theres gotta be something that wont crack and pop out when flexed

 

 

2) will RS front axles work on 2.2 impreza L? both AWD both standard

anyone do this before...im going to replace my axles and found some rs ones

 

3) i picked up a cheap carbon fiber hood b/c its cracked and all banged up....so i figured i would reinforce the places that its cracked to strengthen it up...and then sand it and paint it b/c its all banged up and i dont like the look of carbon fiber.....

 

i'll try to post some pics of the areas that need attention....but basically its a fiberglass hood with a CF top layer....it cracked and now the FG base is exposed, so i thought i would just dump alot of resin into the broken up FG to strength'n it..and then add a sheet or two of FG underneath it too...maybe this is too hard to explain in words....i'll try to take pics and just ask how u would do it

Not sure about the bumper issue. There's gotta be a flexible filler, but I just don't know it.

 

As for the axles, what year is your impreza, and what year is the RS? They should work.

there is nothing for the front bumper, that is why they sell bumper skins. best bet is to go to a junkyard.

3M, Bondo (see link below) and others make flexible filler for bumpers. The same companies have products for dealing with the hood. I'd suggest trying to find an auto body supplier (not a body shop) in your area, or look for one via the Web.

haha i actually bought the bumper like that to see if i could fix it....what do you think would be my best bet at making it work..what about epoxy or bondo

No sweat. Good luck with the repair(s).

bumper filler i think fills in the gap between the bumper and the grille.. lol, not sure but these thread opened up a lot of available products out there.
