Dash Lights Acting Odd

Featured Replies

Well the Other Night (before the tranny went out) my i was driving the car around and i stopped to put gas in it, and when i stopped everything was working fine, when i got back in and turned the headlights on all the dashlights went out/never came on, the Speedo, and all the little lights on the dash are out, but if i turn the dimmer knob all the way up i can get the speedo back but thats it, nothin else works, ive checked all the fuses, and stuff anyone have any idea what it could be?

You may have a bad connection in the dash area or the other lights burned out somehow. Try tapping on the back of the dash to see if that will help. If not, check the bulbs.

The problem lies within the switch itself...you might want to consider replacing it.

I'm with xenon on this one.. either the headlight switch, or more possibly, the dimmer switch is the likely culprit

oh yeah.. pop in to chat some night.. I'm still looking for some stuff for you

One night the none of the dash lights would turn on in my car, and I tried turning on and off the light, restarting the car, nothing worked, so I started on my way, not being able to see my speed or rpms. Then just for kicks, I decided to give the dash a little Fonzarelli touch, and "BAM" everything turned on after I tapped the dash. :D
