you're not quite old enough for historic forum - we don't have power anything. Try in the Older Subaru Forum.

Hey did you you have any problems with your idle after the swap? After I did the swap, my idle varies considerably. Whe I start it up I idle at 800-900 rpms, but when I turn on the accessories, It goes down to about 500-600 rpms. If I drive for a while with no accessories on the idle goes to about 1100-1200 rpms, but when I throw on the accessories it goes down a few hundred rpms. Also, if I've driven for awhile and then idle for awhile, the rpms go from 1100 to 900 really slowly. Any ideas? could I have connected the wrong wires? Did this happen to anyone else? I tested the alternator and it was fine.

Need Advice On Clicking Noise

We're gonna make some shims for the brakes. The pads rattle real bad when you shake the rotors. -
Need Advice On Clicking Noise
wagonpowaa replied to carfreak85's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Definitly not the bearings as I've had those replaced recently, and it's not really that kind of creeking noise that bearings make. It's more of a clickity clickity. We put the car up on jack stands and let the wheels spin in first, reved her a couple of times and turn the wheel, but there was no noise. We figured there was no noise because there was no weight. The clicking gets louder and more frequent with more speed, but goes away when the wheel is turned to the right, or the brakes are applied. Any other ideas on what it could be? -

The fact still remains that your car is slow Galen. And yes, mine is slower, but what good is your precious TURBO without Jump Seats! Moosens-you're just bitter. I don't want to race you cause you'll beat me. Your car is probably faster cause those cracks in your dash make it lighter. Just kidding. ...stupid fuel injected turbo -

There is a lot of information on weber Differences in the archives. A lot.

you can use a pully with the 1500 to increase the load max. Search the archives for a post on this, I know there are a few with one in the past week or so.

holy crap - everything is the same with my gen 1 brat. Are you running the Weber? I think it might be because of the cold, but its pissing me off. I'm only getting 20mpg too! Argg. -

I'm Fricken back in the driver's seat. New Long Block in the brat, and she runs oh so smooth. Thank you CCR for the sweet rebuild. Just in time for winter. Now I can work on some other stuff that needs to be done, like the stupid carb.
