yeah i looked at that earlier. i just can't figure out why when i hold the button in it wont cycle the locks. i am starting to think the system just doesn't work anymore. and i am out o luck

Maybe a dumb question, but are you absolutely sure the battery in the new remote is installed and fresh?

yeah ia msure the battery is installed and fresh ... but that doesn't make a difference at this ponit. i can't get the car to cycle the locks and go into programming mode.

Ummm how long are you holding the button under the dash? I find that is takes several seconds of holding the button in before the locks cycle. Try holding the button in for a good fifteen seconds. A minute at the most extreeme. If the locks do not cycle after a minute of holding the button in, then try seeing if you are holding the right button. it should be a black button in a black casing.

yeah i have held it for 40 seconds, i am pretty sure it is the right button. it is right behind the hood release. iterestingly i have to push that button in to start the car aswell. does that make any sense? would there be another button. also i have a few fuses that are not in the fuse box. would they have anything to do with it?

thanks
