December 30, 200619 yr Who has put a hood scoop on their EA81? I've got a fancy intercooler sitting in the back of the T-Wag, and if I installed it, there'd be no air for it. Looking for some ideas as to what would look good. I dunno if a WRX or 2.5RS hoodscoop will look okay on it.
December 30, 200619 yr Hi Mike This is Jerry, i have a 77 cobra II hood scoop on my 80 hatchbrat it's ok. Then i found a 79 mustang turbo hood scoop for my 86 hatch and it fits really good and everybody that sees it ask my where did i get that scoop it's really cool. Thanks Jerry

I've seen an EA81 w/ a bugeye style on in and it looked ok, but I think the latter one would work better.
December 31, 200619 yr A local guy, 50buckbrat, he's never on. He has a lifted brat, rally blue, with an STI scoop on it. The huge one. It's a stock motor, but the scoop looks OK. Not my style, but hey. I might get a picture.
December 31, 200619 yr Author Looks like a Datsun scoop. May not be wide enough for a WRX intercooler, but it'd look pretty decent I think on my wagon.
December 31, 200619 yr custom make a cowl induction hood:grin: now that'd be sweet. just cut a section out of the center of your hood and raise it...........it'd be the first around for sure
December 31, 200619 yr +1 for the mustang scoop. They seem to be a really good fit for the EA81 hood, plus they are era appropriate and if done right can look stock. I don't know what the exact dimensions are on the EA81 hoods, but I do know that a WRX scoop is about 4-5 inches too wide for an EA82.. may fit better for you.
