November 18, 200322 yr If I remember right, U have a turbo x-over pipe on your EA81. If that's right, did U have any trouble with the standard oil pan being in the way?
November 18, 200322 yr sorry to hijack, i have fitted na ea82 cross pipe on a regular ea81. i believe that the ea81 pipe is pretty much the same, but not as big around tow to add to the question, does it clear the front crossmember?
November 18, 200322 yr The EA81T x-pipe, and the EA82T x-pipe are the same (don't know about diameter tho). The head flanges on them are turned 180 degrees, sou you have to remove, or turn the spacers under the heads - which means the ASV(s) have to go. I think he said there's some tweaking involved, but I'm not sure exactly what... GD
November 19, 200322 yr The EA81 turbo crossover is indeed the same as an EA82. It fits fine if you have the turbo crossmember. There is a cutout, or dent if you will, that allows for the up pipe portion of the crossover to go through. If you have a oil pressure gauge you will need to move it by adding a 90' fitting. The skid plate will need to be altered a little to accomodate the front side of the pipe. Not any issues with the pan or other clearance issues. The standard y-pipe will fit between both EA81 and EA82 engines. I sometimes forget which is which as they are very similar.
November 19, 200322 yr I don't think that he is going to have to worry about the turbo x-member if he's doing whot I think he's doing. :-\
