oil pressure on a EJ22?

Featured Replies

anyone know what the oil pressure on a EJ22 should be?

i just finisned my swap on my lifted wagon, and off idle the oil pressure is fine (40-60PSI) but at idle it drops down to like 15PSI. is this to low?

i just went through the engine all new gaskets up to and including head gaskets...

I think that's right....

but you could hook up the oil light from the ECU and see for sure.

The oil pressure light is rated at something ridiculous like 5 psi if I remember correctly. Basically if you have NO oil pressure, it comes on.

i have the oil light hooked up also, and it never comes on.

Details on gauge being used, sender, etc...

the gauge is a autogauge manual gauge with the copper tube running out to the pressure sender
