I've been workin' on it, those pics are from several months ago. You should see it with the clean, repainted wheels.

I'm sure it was just one of the weird things Subaru made over the years. I've asked vaguely around here, and none were the wiser, so, I couldn't really tell ya'. I would like to know more about it, if anyone else knows anything about it.

probably a graphics package cooked up by a dealership.

IIRC its a special dealer installed package that is very very uncommon. I have seen only pics of a couple other DE EA81s. One is a black '83 or '84 wagon, and now I can't remember what the other one was, crap. Basically its a package that the dealer could get from the factory but its basically some decals and some interior bits I *think*.

As far as I can tell, it is only the polished metal on the bottom of the car. It is pretty neat, I should get some pictures in the light of it.

I've seen a few "Star Edition" cars here in CO... they are usually black 3rd gen coupes with a number/500 on the back end... nothing else special.

Diamond Edition is a Paint Scheme too... and some few li´l Things like Decals, Radio with Cassette Player, etc... as Far as I Know...

Thanx for Sharin´ your Pictures! ... Nice Hatch! :burnout:
