March 28, 200719 yr I replaced one a few years back and if I remember right I think it is called a rear hatch strut. Check with Litha Subaru in Or. for price their # is 1- 866-717-2512 they sell Subaru parts at discount prices. And I get most parts in two days from them and I live in Tx. March 28, 200719 yr Try Canadian Tire Corp. I got aftermarket ones for my 97 OB that were half the price of OEM's from the dealership. The one end uses a simple pin hinge instead of a ball joint, but they are working just fine. No idea if they would have for your year/model. Commuter
