Hey, today i opened the trunk and it wont hold it up :-\ So i am looking on this site, but i have no clue what section i need to look under, or what the shock is called. Thanks. Its for my 1993 Subaru Legacy L wagon.

I replaced one a few years back and if I remember right I think it is called a rear hatch strut. Check with Litha Subaru in Or. for price their # is 1- 866-717-2512 they sell Subaru parts at discount prices. And I get most parts in two days from them and I live in Tx.

Also check your local parts store.

 

Stuff like this is one of the few things I'm not strictly oem about.

Struts fall under body reapir, tailgate or trunk. But you can get these from anywhere.

Try Canadian Tire Corp. I got aftermarket ones for my 97 OB that were half the price of OEM's from the dealership. The one end uses a simple pin hinge instead of a ball joint, but they are working just fine. No idea if they would have for your year/model.
