Oil change on newly purchased 2000 OBW

Featured Replies

I am going to do an oil change on my newly purchased 2000 OBW. I have yet to actually pick it up but I want to get the oil purchased that way I am ready to go. I plan on using Mobil 1 with a Purolator Pure One oil filter but needed to know how many quarts of Mobil 1 I would need to purchase. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Why don't you use an OEM filter?

because they cost 9 bucks :-p

The OEM filter is a good filter but the cost is just too high. Plus I really am partial to the Purolator Pure One filters.

there is no need for OEM oil filters, there are excellent aftermarket sources. puralator pure one is one of them.

Do yourself an enormous favor and get a Fumoto oil drain valve.

Ditto on the Fumoto.

Get the one with the nipple extension on it. Makes oil changes clean, fast, and simple.

Aren't the OEM Filters a Pur One anyway ?

At least I thought that they were a few years ago...
