tysn Posted May 6, 2007 Share Posted May 6, 2007 well i was out on a butte jsut seeing how the legacy did in the coarse sandy hill. it made it to the top with minor problems, i came to turn around and the car just dug in a bit. are there any pointers for maybe not getting stuck the next time? I think you needed a little bit more weight in the back to get that rear tire to have some traction. You could also try better tires and lowering the PSI in them (because you were on sand). Choose a stopping place wisely. You must stop on an incline to aid in restarting momentum or leave enough room to turn around w/o stopping or back up in a straight line till you have better options. nipper Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 When stuck, lightly brake with the left fott. This acts like wht subaru does now with the computer controlled traction. When you lightly brake, the wheel with no trac tion will drag, and will transfer power to the stuck wheel. A poor mans AWD traction control.
